We meet again blog people!

This next movie is not a new movie, it was produce in 1997, a movie from Iran. I promise you that I am going to try to put international movies , so this is one of them, one of my favorite too.

Fear not, although the movie poster seems to be boring, with just fishes in the pool, Children of heaven is far from boring, with the story line flowing nicely from start to end. It seems so simple, yet so rich at the same time.

The power of this movie solely based on the strength of its storyline, and the acting quality of the young actors which makes this movie stands out from the crowd.

Story line:

The story of a family under the poverty line,  where the older brother(Ali) loses the school shoes of his younger sister(Zahra), and they don’t have any money to buy a new one. So they have to share one pair of shoes, Ali’s shoes. So, all the drama happens while they take turns with the shoes. How long will this happen?  

Fun Facts:

This is the first Iranian movie that was nominated for an Academy Awards for Best Foreign Language Movie of The Year (1999)

Children of Heaven was also nominated and won 9 other prestigious international movie awards.
