Cindy Says:

Here we go folks, one more international movie i promise you!

This movie is originated from Indonesia, where i come from. Indonesian silver screen has been on its lowest before the year 2002, that is why most of Indonesian movie theater was dominated by Hollywood movies.   I don't know why, but a lot of movie from Indonesia have the same theme, its either teenager love stories or horror series, and after a while viewers find it boring.

That is why when The Raid - Redemption enters the theater, most people feels surprise, but in a good way of this different atmosphere. It has also reach international movie market, which no Indonesian movie has done before. As you can see in the poster it also stated a few International achievement of the movie.

My personal opinion of the movie is that it has shown a lot of improvement from the typical Indonesian movie, from the theme itself to the cinematography, and also the sophisticated martial-arts choreography with a not too bad special effect. It is a good action martial arts movie because it portrays the traditional self defense art from Indonesia called pencak silat, joined together with modern western fighting with guns and blades. On the down side of the movies, i find that it is pure action, with a very minimum dialog or even poor story line, it is unclear about the stories.

I do think this is quite an interesting movie to see, other than the minus points above.
So, tell me what you think of this movie!

Toy Story 3

Year                  : 2010

Genre                : Animation / Adventure

Running Time     :  1hr43min

Cindy Says:

When you think they have run out of stories to tell for a regular animated movie that started in 1995, Toy Story 3 surely proves us wrong. When i first heard of the news that they are doing the third installment of Toy Story, i have to admit, i didn't have a high expectation about it. They still have the same voice talent to fill the character, such as : Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, John Cusack, so i figured i would see it anyway, and another reason is in my opinion, animated movies have always had a great success rate, so it wouldn't be that bad.

And what a surprise, i couldn't take my eyes off this movie, the storyline was written so well, portraying the fight that Woody and the gang against the dictatorship of an evil fuzzy bear name Lotso. I don't want to write much about it here, because i don't want to be a spoiler to people who haven't see it yet.

Some fun facts about Toy Story 3 ( Taken from the website : www.wearemoviegeeks.com)
  • In total, there is 302 animated character in this installment.
  • LEGO created a Woody and Buzz Lightyear character made of LEGO bricks, Woody that are six feet and Buzz with five feet tall.
Here comes the trailer!
